The Drone is designed for search and rescue, espionage and recon missions. With its multiple mobility settings, it can travel and withstand any type of weather as well as traverse any terrain on earth and/or on similar earth-like extraterrestrial environments.
The drone is powerded by a tiny yet powerful nuclear fusion reactor and uses gravity-repulsion (I said it was Sci-Fi... didn't I?) based nodes to effortlessly hover at high speeds through it's environment.
