Inspired by Japanese bamboo lights, this lamp's focus is not only beauty but also practicality. It's main moving component allows it to morph from an elegant ambiance lamp to a purely functional minimalist desk lamp in just one mechanical motion.
The intensity of each light source changes between ambiance and desk modes. The latter being much brighter on the spotlight than the more subtle light needed for the ambiance mode. The copper patina on the inside of the cylinders helps by reflecting and focusing the light coming from the LEDs.
